Devops/Systems Engineer with Security Clearance

Our supercomputing team is completely vertically integrated, and we innovate at every level of the supercomputing stack from reducing the environmental impact of our systems with innovative data center technologies to collaborating with world-class cyber security experts to make our systems more resilient, from developing revolutionary algorithms and programming environments to make supercomputing easy for AI and ML researchers. Our researchers publish extensively both independently and in collaboration with our users. The LLSC is in need of a DevOps/Systems Engineer who is capable of providing the support of multiple system architectures and infrastructure for use within a high-performance computing environment, as well as general Linux systems administrative tasks. In addition, work with other systems engineers to design and implement procedures for identifying and correcting system failures and user issues. Work with a small team of system engineers and administrators to bring online new HPC systems and maintain existing HPC systems. This position will be expected to interact with all aspects of the system from power, hardware support, system software, networking, and data center infrastructure. Skills:

• Shell scripting (Bash)

• Experience with C / compiling C programs

• Familiarity with Python

• Demonstrable experience with Linux systems

• Excellent communication skills

• Bachelors in engineering, science, mathematics, or 3+ years of industry or relevant hands-on experience
