DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a Software Build and Deployment Engineer with expertise in automated tools and technologies, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes, and DevOps methodologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with automation/configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or equivalent, as well as proficiency in Java programming and related technologies. Additionally, experience with AWS services, operation automation tools, and deployment tools is required.
Responsibilities:
- Build and deploy software using automated tools and technologies.
- Implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery processes.
- Utilize DevOps methodologies to streamline software development and deployment.
- Manage automation/configuration using Ansible, Chef, or equivalent tools.
- Work with version control systems such as SVN, GIT, Bitbucket for branching of repositories.
- Develop and maintain Java applications using JDK 1.5 to 1.8 or equivalent programming languages.
- Perform patch management and ensure software security.
- Utilize AWS services for deployment and operation automation.
- Develop scripts using Shell/Perl/Python for automation tasks.
- Work with technologies such as WAS 6.1, Java, AKKA, Kafka, and Microservices.
- Utilize CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo for automated builds and deployments.
- Write unit tests using JUnit, NUnit and ensure code quality using SonarQube.
- Utilize open-source tools like Elastic search, Logstash, Apache for logging and monitoring.
- Manage artifacts using Nexus Artifactory and track issues using JIRA.
- Collaborate with product teams to implement automation in appropriate areas.
- Evangelize DevOps practices and automation internally and externally.
- Test new products/tools and updates in DevOps space for continuous improvement.
- Maintain a Continuous Integration platform for infrastructure code.
- Ensure clear understanding and implementation of Cloud Concepts.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in ITIL Concepts implementation.
- Experience with Cloud Technologies such as AWS or other private/public/hybrid clouds.
- Strong understanding of build and deployment processes and methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with automation/configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, etc.).
- Proficiency in Java programming and related technologies (Java Swing, JDK 1.5 to 1.8).
- Familiarity with patch management and security practices.
- Experience with AWS services for deployment and operation automation.
- Strong scripting skills in Shell/Perl/Python.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo) and version control systems (SVN, GIT).
- Experience with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, NUnit) and code quality tools (SonarQube).
- Familiarity with open-source tools for logging and monitoring (Elastic search, Logstash, Apache).
- Experience with artifact management (Nexus Artifactory) and issue tracking (JIRA).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
