Overview Promote the values, dreams and potential of individuals with developmental disabilities through education and meaningful activities. Minimum Education Required High School Diploma/GED Additional Shift Details 8am-4pm Responsibilities Ensure clinical and programmatic planning and implementation for consumers: ISPs, behavior plans, learning styles, data collection systems Ensure that assigned individuals are involved in the community activities of their choice Integrate individualized outcomes for consumers and staff into group management Ensure adequate staffing to meet needs of individuals Supervise Support Specialists and relief staff to carry out their responsibilities and the agency mission Assist Program Supervisor in administrative planning of program Assume responsibility of Support Specialist as needed Maintain accurate and complete records, reports and data necessary to meet the requirements of HMEA and any certifying or regulatory agency Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned Competencies: Problem Solving- identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully. Respect -shows respect for self, coworkers and the individuals supported. Interpersonal Skills- maintains confidentiality, remains open to others' ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things. Oral communication- speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations demonstrates group presentation skills. Written Communication- is able to read and write information to communicate. Planning/organizing- prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans. Quality control- demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality. Adaptability- adapts to changes in the work environment and deals with frequent change, delays or unexpected events. Dependability- is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance. Safety and security- actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Service/Special Education, or related field (Alternative to a degree must have at least two years of work experience in a training program for persons with Developmentally Disabled) One year experience in training program for the MR or developmentally disabled One year supervisory experience Valid driver's license Acceptable driving status as determined by HMEA insurance company Use of a reliable vehicle which seats two passengers HMEA, Inc is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to the principles of affirmative action.
