Position Summary: This position provides early intervention services to families of eligible children age 0-3 in the YK Delta. This position functions independently in evaluation, reporting and interventions for infants and toddlers in the region. This position is responsible for administering eligibility testing, developmental assessments, report writing, development and implementation of the IFSP, and for all transition services. This position organizes family contact, family follow-up, play groups and other service involvement such as school special education teachers and Head Start educators. This position is a member of the ILP team and provides value-added ideas, quality control, service excellence, and ILP standard excellence. Position Qualifications: Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education with licensure or a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Special Education. Minimum Experience: 2 years of experience working in a field of Early childhood or preschool activity, teaching birth to three. Knowledge of advanced developmental testing methods. Home visiting experience preferred. Experience with Special Needs children required. 6 education credits in Early Childhood Development required. Licensing/Certification: Type A certification or applicable license. Infant CPR. Membership in professional organizations encouraged. Meet criteria for registration as System for Early Education Development (SEED) level 10. Eligible for an NPI number and able to bill Medicaid for Developmental Therapy, Targeted Case management (TCM) and developmental evaluation, limited. Equipment/Tools: Screening tools targeting developmental and social-emotional delay. ASQ. ASQ-SE), ELAP, HELP or other evaluation tools as appropriate. Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Training in Neuro-developmental treatment, Applied Behavior Analysis, Positive Behavioral Supports, Language Instruction, specialized strategies and trainings, leading play groups. Training in Infant Mental Health and Trauma based care desired. Supervisory Responsibilities: May supervise a Developmental Specialist I or DS II. Signs off on paraprofessional staff documents.
