Client seeks Dental Hygienist for its office in Americus, Ga due to growth in the area. This is a direct hire position with excellent benefits and salary. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience. Responsibilities: The Dental Hygienist will promote dental health by completing dental prophylaxis; providing oral cancer screening and radiographic studies; charting conditions of decay and disease; performing procedures in compliance with the dental practice act. Major Functions: Adheres to the highest standards of dental health, ethics, and professionalism at all times. Prepares treatment room for patient by adhering to prescribed procedures and protocols. Prepares patients for dental hygiene treatment by welcoming, soothing, seating, and draping patient. Provides information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests. Maintains instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment by sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting instruments. Selects materials and equipment for dental hygiene visit by evaluating patient's oral health. Completes dental prophylaxis by cleaning deposits and stains from teeth and from beneath gum margins. Detects disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling and visually examining gums; using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession; exposing and developing radiographic studies. Arrests dental decay by applying fluorides and other cavity- preventing agents. Educates patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions, providing reminders of time of next dental hygiene visit. Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Requirements: Graduate from an accredited Dental Hygiene program. A state license and certification to practice medicine. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Good leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Dexterity and detail-oriented abilities. Patience and compassion. The ability and willingness to stay up to date on advancements, innovations, and developments in the field Salary: The salary of the Dental Hygienist will be based on experience, performance, results, NACHC salary survey, and competitive market rates. Dental Office Details:
• Our dental offices are open 4 days a week from 8:00AM-6:30PM. The staff is required to arrive no later than 7:45 AM to prepare for patients to start arriving. We NEVER let a patient leave the office without a follow-up scheduled (whether they show up or not). Your salary is not based on your productivity. However, we expect that our Dental Hygienist's see at least 200 visits per month (once the DH is established). The credentialing process can be completed as quickly as possible as long as the Dental Hygienist complies & turns in the necessary paperwork to the credentialing team as well as the HR department. We assist any way that we can to ensure that this process is completed as smoothly as possible. Benefits Overview: We cover your malpractice and liability insurance (We are covered under the FTCA) Health Insurance: client contributes 70% and employee contributes 30%. Retirement: Can contribute starting first day of employment. Employer match up to 5% of salary after 2 years with the company.
