Dental Hygienist

Overview: Dental One Associates is hiring a full-time Dental Hygienist to join us in our family friendly, fun environment, at our new improved office located in Columbia, MD 21044. This is a full-time position, Mon-Thu (8-5) and Fri (8-3), working assisted hygiene with your own dedicated DA. Bring your own DA with you and receive a $1,000 referral bonus.
$67 per hr + 10% over production goal bonus

2 days of acclimation/onboarding with hygiene coach prior to seeing patients, plus follow up visits from hygiene coach to offer additional help/support

At Dental One Associates, we understand the importance of keeping up with the latest technology, for both our patients and our staff. The hygienist we hire will see an average of 14 patients per day with a dedicated assistant, utilizing hygiene lasers and Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) to provide the best possible care for patients. Haven't heard of GBT? It's a new technology that uses warm water and air for cleaning teeth. GBT has been compared to a spa treatment for your teeth. Patients love it and no longer dread cleanings. Additional office technology include 3d cone beam, digital scanner, and digital x-rays.

If you're a hygienist who is dedicated to providing your patients with top notch, quality care, then we'd love to have you on our team. Previous experience is always nice, but we also welcome new hygiene grads to apply as well. Must have an active hygiene license for the state of Maryland. New grads must be applying for license soon.

Our office is located in downtown Columbia, 1 block from the mall and Merriweather Post Pavilion. We have lots of free parking and we're on a Howard County bus line as well.

Responsibilities:
Through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services, Dental Hygienists are committed to improving the oral health of patients. Candidates must be enthusiastic about their dental work, and willing to provide the highest level of care at all times
Under limited supervision, the Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
Patient screening, medical history and dental charting.
Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line.
Provides nutritional counseling, and self-care programs to prevent disease.
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Active Hygiene license for the state of Maryland
Strong verbal and written communication skills
