Dementia Unit Manager SIGN-ON BONUS: up to $7,500 STARTING RATE: $28.00 SHIFT: Full-Time BENEFITS: Weekly Paychecks Instant Pay Options Referral Bonuses Flexible Schedules Peer Mentorship Generous Paid Time Off JOB DESCRIPTION: The Unit Manager oversees our subacute and long-term care units, assesses residents, and supports/directs staff as needed. Unit managers are responsible for managing the nursing unit. They primarily supervise the daily care of patients and ensure quality patient care. RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintaining and restoring the health of resident patients Acting as the main point of contact between residents and their families Addressing and preventing concerns from family members Assists in developing, implementing, and making adjustments to patient care plans as needed Supervises, counsels, and provides discipline, when necessary, to nursing staff to ensure the highest quality care possible Ensures their unit meets federal and state regulatory standards, as well as company policies and procedures Collaborates with the Director of Nursing, Nurse Practitioners, and Physicians to plan and maintain resident care Completes admission and discharge assessments Oversees and audits changes made to care plans Delivers hands-on care and medicine distribution as needed REQUIREMENTS: New York State Licensed Professional Licensure Experience in long-term care facility preferred Able to interpret patient information and make critical decisions about necessary actions Ability to supervise and work well with and show respect toward other health care personnel (i.e., CNAs, LPNs, physicians, etc.), residents, and their family members Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to follow written and verbal instructions Able to perform tasks while upholding high standards of quality, cleanliness, and kindness Physical endurance for frequent activity; ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds APPLY ONLINE OR SEND YOUR RESUME TO: Absolut Care of Aurora Park Attn: Amber Strudwick, HR Coordinator 292 Main Street East Aurora, NY 14052 CALL: ext. 3301 for more information ABOUT US: Absolut Care is comprised of five skilled nursing facilities and one assisted living facility in New York State, including: Absolut Care of Allegany in Allegany, Absolut Care of Aurora Park in East Aurora, Absolut Care of Gasport in Gasport, Absolut Care of Orchard Brooke in Orchard Park, Absolut Care of Three Rivers in Painted Post and Absolut Care of Westfield in Westfield.
