About this Position:

The Dealer Development Analyst is directly responsible for review and processing of Honda Marine Dealer & OEM related ownership transfers, relocations, open points, and various other types of dealer sales and service agreement transactions. This position will ensure that dealer transactions/packages reach completion and will include all documentation provided as part of the Dealer & OEM transactions/packages. This position will work closely with the Honda Marine sales teams and customers to provide support through the complete process. The Dealer Development Analyst will analyze Honda Marine's current distribution channels and provide recommendations to increase Honda Marine's network.


Responsibilities include:

  • Analyze incoming application requests and provide direction of dealer network transaction processing. Position requires a high level of critical thinking, as the person must determine request type, and Honda business needs to determine all required documentation to remain SOX compliant.
  • Process requested market representation activity, such as open point applications, legal entity changes, terminations, and product line amendments. The person in this position must work with company legal counsel to ensure all state laws are obeyed, mitigating risk to American Honda.
  • Communicate and work with internal and external customers regarding transaction status updates and documentation requirements.
  • Analyze Honda Marine current dealer and OEM network and how it compares to the competition. Provide sales and management teams data along with a strategy to have Honda Marine in favorable locations for distribution, sales, and service.
  • Coordinate special projects assigned to Dealer Development including training National Sales on dealer transaction SOPs and DD evaluation process.


Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:

  • 5 years of work experience
  • 2+ years with dealer and/or brand standards development with a demonstrated history of achieving and exceeding objectives
  • Strong business process development and documentation experience
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Marketing or related field experience

Desired skills:

  • SAP sales/distribution knowledge and Business Objects knowledge is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in all MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
