Residential Services Inc. is eagerly hiring dedicated, compassionate, and responsible part-time and full-time Direct Support Professionals to work in our Life Options Vocational Day Program in Orange County providing support and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This job is entry level and a great way to gain hands on experience in the fields of health care, psychology, OT/PT, social work and human services.

Do you enjoy caring for others? This job is a great way to use your degree in Psychology, Social Work, or other human services fields to gain clinical, health care and human services experience. We provide training and even pay employees to sleep.

Each DSP's job varies but the ultimate goal is to help the residents grow in their independence. A DSP working with the Life Options day program might:

  • Help residents create locally sold crafts
  • Supervise and assist with resident employment
  • Help residents develop work skills or continue their education
  • Assist residents with fitness activities
  • Support residents as they engage in community volunteer activities

No matter what you might be doing, you will be making a difference in someone's life.

This position is 1st shift (7am-3pm) Monday-Friday.

This job is the perfect start for people looking to gain hands on human services and healthcare experience and grow in their knowledge of the IDD population. You will foster unique and important connections with the individuals you care for. We only have a few minimum requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 18 years of age
  • A valid drivers license and safe driving record
