Position Title: Datacenter Operations Manager

Location: Princeton, NJ (onsite from day - 1)

Rate: $62/hr

Duration: 6 Months

Oversee data center facilities, manage and coordinate with 3rd party vendors, and support processes for the hosting landscape.

Responsible for change management, infrastructure transformation, and managing the server landscape.

Understand coordinating operations and recovery solutions to ensure an efficient, effective and secure data center solution.

Responsibilities:

Manage Data Centers operations which includes Planning, installation and support of infrastructure Systems (Server, Storage, Switches, Tape Library etc.)

Prepare and keep up to date documentation (Rack Elevation Diagrams, Inventory management, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions)

Lead and supervise a team of Data Center technicians responsible for maintaining data center infrastructure.

Provide guidance and training to DataCenter operations engineers and quarterly / annual performance reviews for the team members.

Create SLA and performance metrics, capacity planning reports and present the same in monthly operations review to Leadership.

Should have hands on experience with managing Data Center operations.

Track project progress and evaluate risks, opportunities, and escalations of issues to management and stakeholders.

Strategic Planning and forecasting, manage individual performance and delivering performance reviews.

Should have experience working with ServiceNow Incident / Change management procedures

Collaborate with stakeholders and 3rd party vendors to ensure project and programs are completed successfully by resolving complex business issues

Collaborate with upper management in prioritizing the infrastructure portfolio, budget/spending, and business priorities for the server room and datacenter landscapes.

Manage server and application upgrades and release changes (application support packages, system copies and the relocation of system landscapes)

Oversee the operation, installation, and logistics of systems in the outsourced data center and the local site computer rooms

Implement data center policies and Disaster Recovery Plan

Oversee updates of the OS, DB, and underlying systems with the datacenter hosting teams and the internal stakeholders.

Should be OK to travel to Datacenters across US

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree or equivalent

Must have at least 8 years of Data Center management experience at least 3 years of people management experience

Must have experience with managing the environment for Servers, storage and network systems)

Past experience in a Life Sciences division related to manufacturing is preferred.

Well-versed in ITSM Incident / change control management
