Octagon Talent Solutions is looking for a skilled Database Manager with proficiency in Azure, Data Lake, Azure DevOps, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory for one of our esteemed clients in the Fort Lauderdale, FL area. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design and implementation of the organization's databases, including the creation of a data lake using Azure, ADF, DevOps, and Databricks.
- Regularly update and maintain all databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity within the data lake environment.
- Monitor database performance, implementing changes and adjustments as necessary in Azure, ADF, DevOps, and Databricks.
- Manage data security and control access permissions and privileges, particularly within the data lake setup. Develop database backups and recovery plans, integrating them with Azure, ADF, DevOps, and Databricks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to database performance and capacity within Azure, ADF, DevOps, and Databricks.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure all business requirements are met, aligning with the data lake strategy.
- Keep abreast of developments and trends in database management, particularly in Azure, ADF, DevOps, and Databricks.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably as a Database Manager or Data Architect.
- Proficient understanding of database technologies like Azure, Data Lake, Azure DevOps, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory.
- Proven experience in managing the design, implementation, and maintenance of databases.
- Strong understanding of data security principles and implementation.
- Knowledge of data structures and ability to create and adjust them as necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve technical issues related to databases.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work proactively and independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
