Position Overview: Data Engineer - Direct Hire - Remote EST - W2 Only, No C2C - $100-120k/yr

Candidate has to sit in the SOUTHEAST states - NC, SC, VA, WV, GA, FL, MS, LA, AR, TN, KY
Candidate must be able to work on the clients ws without sponsorship, vendor or employer

We are seeking a skilled SQL System Engineer with at least 2 years of experience, who is also proficient in one or more programming languages, such as Python or an object-oriented language . The ideal candidate will haveLinux and Windows administration experience and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Familiarity with Collibra, Slicer Dicer, Talend server side, HVR, and Caboodle is a bonus.

Responsibilities:

•  Develop and maintain SQL-based applications and database systems
•  Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues
•  Design, implement, and maintain ETL workflows and data pipelines
•  Work collaboratively with team members to develop efficient and effective database solutions
•  Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows-based systems
•  Maintain security and backup procedures for database systems
Requirements:

•  At least 3 years of experience with SQL and database systems
•   Some experience with servers like updates, support, upgrades, patching, etc.
•  Proficiency in one or more programming languages, preferably Python or an object-oriented language
•  Experience in System Administration experience -Performance tuning/monitoring, ETL script performance monitoring, VMware server updates, etc
•  Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
•  Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Bonus:

•  Familiarity with Collibra, Slicer Dicer, Talend server side, HVR, and Caboodle
