Data Scientist with Security Clearance

Gridiron IT is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist. The ideal candidate has experience in data analysis, visualization, statistics, programming, project execution, critical thinking, and communicating analysis results through reports, graphics, and interactive visualizations. Collaboration with other data scientists and effective communication with clients is also essential. The Senior Data Scientist should have experience with AI/ML, data algorithms, and predictive models, as well as experience using SQL Developer and Python to script the extraction and transformation of data. Responsibilities
Demonstrate the ability to frame and scale data problems to effectively analyze, visualize and find data solutions.
Possess the ability to work with and manipulate common data formats, including comma-delimited, text files, and JSON.
Analyst must be able to transform data and analysis into informative data visualizations and/or interactive dashboards using open source and commercially available visualization and dashboard tools.
Demonstrate the ability to derive insights and analytic narratives from data and visualizations for effective storytelling and clear communication in response to specific research questions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, solutions oriented environment focused on client deliverables, analysis and reporting.
Possess the ability to work in teams and independently.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in data science, mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, engineering, or other related business or quantitative discipline is required.
8-10+ years of experience, performing related responsibilities and duties.
Experience answering intelligence questions by leveraging large-scale data resources, machine learning, and/or computational analysis.
Experience working with tools including object-oriented programming languages (Python preferred) and associated data science libraries (e.g., scikit-learn).
Willingness to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations for 1-3 months at a time.
Experience leading teams and projects to completion.
Experience with SQL and No-SQL databases. Preferred experience linking databases to dashboards and/or live-updating visualizations.
Additional preferred qualifications include working with unstructured text and natural language processing.
Superior communication skills, both oral and written.
This position requires an active security clearance at the TS/SCI level. You must be a US citizen. DESIRED SKILLS: Master's degree or higher in a computational discipline.
Previous DOD experience.
