Softek Global Services provides both operations & strategic support to tribal 8(a) & commercial organizations. Our client we are supporting is a family of companies are comprised of multiple SBA Certified Native American Tribal 8(a) and multi-certified organizations focused on delivering Information Technology, Management Consulting, and General Construction solutions to the Federal Government along with the Commercial Sector. They are actively seeking a Data Processor based in Washington D.C. This position requires an active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain one. This is a full time, hybrid role. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the team supporting the Department of Transportation's Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration. The main responsibilities of the role include:
• Entering data into a management systems software.
• Reviewing data against reporting requirements and business rules.
• Conducting multiple quality reviews to ensure accuracy and completion of data and business processes.
• Proactively working to achieve program objectives.
• Identifying errors and missing information in government form submissions.
• Reporting out IT system errors that negatively impact the business processes.
• Responding to requests for information.
• Supporting special data research and analysis tasks/projects, as directed.
• Supporting quality management and business process improvement initiatives.
• Identifying areas of improvement.
• Updating process documentation.
• Participating in routine process audits. The qualified candidate will have the following knowledge and experience:
• Relevant experience conducting the activities shown in the description above.
• Demonstrated experience adapting to new and challenging situations.
• Ability to undertake a task or project on his or her own initiative, without needing to be told or encouraged to do so.
• Ability to coordinate and interact effectively and professionally with management and peers.
• Experience identifying operational issues and recommending solutions.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Microsoft Office Suite; Navigating Outlook, and SharePoint.
• Associates, Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience working at a Government agency, strongly preferred.
• Experience reviewing and applying the requirements outlined Code of Federal Regulations (i.e. 49 CFR), preferred.
• Experience with continuous process improvement and quality management systems, preferred.
