Overview

Responsible for building the data platform that supports data integrations. Build data pipelines to share enterprise data. Design and build an AWS data lake with appropriate data access, data security, data privacy and data governance. Use agile engineering practices and various data development technologies to rapidly develop creative and efficient data products and data pipelines. Work closely with the Data Architects, Solution Architects, and Data Modelers to enhance the Data products, constantly identify a backlog of tech debts in line with identified upgrades and provide technical solutions & implement the same. Identify inefficiencies, optimize processes and data flows, and make recommendations for improvements. Use operational skills to drive efficiency and speed. Have expertise in building repeatable data engineering processes. Use strong agile and project management skills to deliver data products. Manage deliverables of developers, perform design reviews and coordinate release management activities. Contribute to regulatory and SOX compliance reporting and implement data controls mandated by Federal regulatory reports for Large Financial Institution. May work remotely pursuant to First Citizens' Remote Work Guidelines policy.

The base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is generally $169,104 - $199,104 per year. The position is eligible for variable compensation, which may be in the form of incentive, bonus, or commission pay. Qualifications

Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering Management, or other related field plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience as a Senior Application Support Engineer, Data Analyst, or a related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering Management, or other related field plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years as a Senior Application Support Engineer, Data Analyst, or a related occupation. Experience may be gained concurrent to attainment of graduate degree.

Position requires experience with Bigdata technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, SPARK, or No-SQL DB. Requires experience with AWS services such as Lake formation, Glue, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB or other AWS accelerators. Requires experience with Scripting language Python, SQL, PLSQL, PySpark, and Hive. Requires experience with ETL tools BODS, Informatica and Datastage. Requires experience with Data protection/compliance standards such as GDPR, CCPA, or HIPAA. May work remotely pursuant to First Citizens' Remote Work Guidelines policy.
