Position: Data Cable Assistant

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

- Perform any other duties as required in furtherance of the company goals
- Assist technicians with installation of data and cabling materials on job sites.
- Provide assistance in moving materials to and from vehicles to job site locations.
- Take instruction and direction from lead personnel on site.
- Use of scissor lifts, boom lifts, ladders, power and hand tools and other related tools necessary.
- Adherence to policy and generally accepted safety and hazard protocols.
- Maintain communication with on site and office personnel on activities and progress
- Interact with customers in a professional capacity, as required.
Work Environment: Primarily this job will require work in the field at customer locations. Some locations will have extreme heat/cold/ humid conditions. There is the possibility of very loud noise levels, with fumes or airborne particles and there may be times which require work to be completed in very small, confined spaces. Work may be required near moving mechanical parts or in high, precarious places. The risk of electrical shock is also a possibility. Some meetings will be held in the office.

Travel: Generally, some overnight travel is expected for this position. This position requires travel to client locations within Finger Lakes and the surrounding areas.
Qualifications: - High School diploma or equivalency
- Valid NYS Drivers license and ability to arrive/depart assigned job sites at required start times.
- OSHA 10 certification preferred.
- Data and cable pulling experience preferred.
- Successful track record with customer satisfaction, including training.
- Experience working with security and/or fire alarm systems.
Shift: - 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday
Pay: $17 19 an hour
