Scope: Under the Direction of the Director of Data Strategy, The Data Analyst will ensure the quality and accuracy of data, data collection, designs, and analysis across Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency grant-related activities. The Data Analyst will have four essential primary areas of responsibility: data management, data visualization, data analysis, and data integration. The work of a Data Analyst will serve a pivotal role which allows stakeholders to make better, informed business strategic decisions based on timely and accurate data.

Essential Functions:

Build front-end data collection processes using Form Assembly and Caspio.
Build back-end data tables in Caspio database, including Form Assembly and web-user interface.
Continue the ongoing development and maintenance of Caspio, ensuring its seamless integration as the primary database for the Agency's operations.
Develop test plans and conduct user acceptance testing for database enhancements.
Propose enhancements to database logic to ensure it remains in sync with evolving requirements and demands.
Develop predictive analytics using Python.
Expand expertise by integrating new media tools, technical resources, and processes as necessary to optimize performance and adapt to requirements.
Facilitate data quality assurance efforts, ensuring compliance with standards, and recommending system audits when necessary.
Create ad-hoc reports to support operational needs and facilitate informed decision-making.
Demonstrates proactive problem solving capabilities, consistently identifying and resolving challenges to enhance operational efficiency.
Provide support to frontline staff, ensuring they have the necessary resources and knowledge to effectively execute their roles.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree OR a minimum of three years of experience in a related field OR a combination of education and experience that is similarly equivalent.
Ability to assist in the design and implementation of data tracking systems to meet the needs of the agency and agency funders.
Experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Experience in managing raw and incomplete data sets.
Experience in Caspio or other such no-code database environments.
Understanding of programming fundamentals.
Experience in database administration, analysis or similar roles.
Experience with Form Assembly or other such form building platforms.
Experience with predictive/prescriptive analysis, modeling, and segmentation using Python.
Experience translating business requirements into functional, and non-functional requirements, including creating workflow diagrams and processes.

Minimum Competencies:

Working knowledge of basic internet applications and programs including Google technology and Microsoft Office Word and Excel. The ability to learn and utilize the necessary programs for this position.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form.
Ability to provide leadership to coordinate work activities and build teamwork with others.
Good interpersonal and professional skills including but not limited to professional appearance, tact, punctuality, and dependability.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment (as deemed necessary).
Perform work in a manner that upholds Wayne Metro policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Clerical:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in a professional office environment with a usually quiet noise level. This is largely a sedentary role and the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, frequently use hands and to talk or hear.

Licensing and Other Requirements:

Valid identification and reliable transportation.
Although the Covid-19 vaccination is no longer mandated, it is encouraged. Wayne Metro will always prioritize the safety of our staff and clients.

Travel Requirements:

Ability to travel to various sites.

Work Hours:

Work to be scheduled Monday through Friday with specific hours to be determined by program needs.
