JOB DESCRIPTION/SCOPE : Designs and develops methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze structured and unstructured, diverse sources including big data sources. Develops and uses advanced software programs, algorithms, querying and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate datasets and models complex business problems. Is familiar with disciplines such as Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Predictive modeling, Statistical Analysis and Hypothesis testing. Works with cross-discipline teams to ensure connectivity between various databases and systems. Identifies meaningful insights and interprets and communicates findings and recommendations. May develop information tools, algorithms, dashboards, and queries to monitor and improve business performance. Maintains awareness of emerging analytics and big-data technologies.

The Senior Data Analyst will have experience in consolidating data by designing and developing methods and processes. Will have experience in developing software programs, algorithms and automated processes to evaluate datasets and models. Will have experience in using software programs, algorithms and automated processes to evaluate datasets and models. Will have experience in ensuring connectivity between various databases and systems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in data analytics, computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline and 8 -12 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Predictive modeling, Statistical Analysis and Hypothesis testing.
  • Experience with analysis stemming from multiple databases: SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL
  • Experience with the following Languages: Python, R, SQL, DAX, M, VBA
  • Experience with the following Software: Power BI, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Google Earth, SharePoint, Splunk, Tableau, Command Prompt/Power Shell, Azure Synapse, Visual Studio Code, Structural Similarity Index Measure (SSIM), ArcGIS
  • Experience with the following aspects of Salesforce:
    • Applying basic Salesforce configuration concepts for various modules
    • Assisting the client in configuring various modules and dashboards within the Salesforce platform
    • Creating solutions within the Salesforce platform
    • Developing Salesforce dashboards and reports
    • Integrating with on premise and cloud-based systems using Salesforce and third-party APIs
  • Provide regular updates on development and configuration-based activities to contract and client leadership
  • Proficient MS application knowledge (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Visio, SharePoint).
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with the customer to define requirements.
  • Excellent writing and research skills.


Comments:
U.S. Citizenship is required. Active Public Trust is preferred . Experience working within the VHA is bonus. Successfully completing all VA onboarding requirements is required prior to commencement of work.
