This role supports the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) in ensuring the security and integrity of information systems that support U.S. Air Force pilot training programs. Location San Antonio, TX Clearance Requirements Candidate must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance. Top Secret w/ SCI eligibility is preferred. Essential Role and Responsibilities Security Protocols Implementation: Assist in implementing and maintaining security measures and protocols to protect systems from cyber threats.
System Audits and Compliance Checks: Perform regular system audits and compliance checks to ensure adherence to security policies and standards.
Incident Response: Support the ISSM in managing and responding to security incidents, including the documentation and mitigation of threats.
Security Tools and Software: Manage and configure security tools and software to enhance the defensive posture of the organization's IT infrastructure.
Collaborative Security Efforts: Work collaboratively with IT and network teams to integrate security solutions without compromising system functionality.
Security Training Support: Assist in developing and delivering security training programs to raise awareness and competence in security best practices among staff.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of security measures, incidents, and resolutions to support continuous improvement in security practices.
Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably in a government or military environment.
Demonstrated experience with security architectures, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and risk management frameworks.
Familiarity with DoD security protocols and compliance requirements.
Certifications Required: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent.
Preferred: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
