Overview-

The cybersecurity engineer 2 position requires a cybersecurity professional who is results oriented, multi-disciplined, and comfortable in implementing system security solutions in multi-vendor complex healthcare environments. This position provides security design, consultation, and technology governance oversight for various projects and initiatives. The incumbent also assists system users relative to cybersecurity matters and undertakes complex projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge. This position acts as a cybersecurity liaison to various business units and other corporate entities as well as the Information Services & Support department.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and investigate events from cybersecurity systems or reported incidents.
• Familiarity with Anti-Virus, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC, SIEM, DLP, Content Filtering/Web Proxies, Vulnerability Scanning and Forensic Evidence Acquisition.
• Use threat intelligence to develop new detections and preventative measures across the enterprise.
• Designing, Engineering and Review of Secure Architectures.
• Understand the Incident Response process.
• Participate in the development and implementation of security controls.
• Apply knowledge and understanding of security concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to deliver a wide variety of security projects and efforts.
• Recommend new practices, processes, metrics, and models for the continuous verification and validation of security controls.
• Cloud security experience. (AWS Preferred)
• Overall strong foundation of knowledge in the cybersecurity field.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience coupled with advance certifications

License/Certifications preferred:

SANS / ISACA / ISC2 / AWS

Relevant Experience:

• 5 plus years experience in a cybersecurity role.
• Will be able to illustrate a consistent and logical pattern of strategic career investments and professional development that have helped them develop the skills and experience required to be an effective Information Security Engineer.
• This can include advanced education, industry certifications, professional development, industry thought leadership, and other external interests and pursuits. (I.e. community involvement, philanthropy, etc.)
• A true understanding and commitment that cybersecurity security is well beyond a full-time job. Remains available and accountable 24/7/365, continuously reviews and assess threat intelligence as well as email.
