Cyber Security Engineer
Location: Aurora, CO and Colorado Springs, CO
Required Clearance: Secret U.S. Citizenship Mandatory: Due to our US federal government contract, candidates for this position are required to be a US Citizen and will be subject to a background investigation. Job Description: ITEC is looking for an individual to join the Cyber Security Engineering team for a Cyber Security Engineer position supporting Continuous Monitoring and maintenance of Authority to Operate in multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have a cyber experience across the full spectrum of cyber operations from a mission execution perspective, to include vulnerability management, compliance management, database, and enterprise information security infrastructure. Job Responsibilities: Review and adjudicate Tenable/Nessus Findings.
Vulnerability and compliance scanning and mitigation.
STIG manual hardening checks.
Plan of action and milestones (POAM) work off.
Assessment and Authorization Support (A&A).
Cybersecurity engineering in support of system development.
Required Skills: Demonstrated experience with Tenable Security Center, Nessus for vulnerability and compliance assessment.
Hands on experience in manual hardening and system compliance.
An advanced degree in STEM with 5+ years of engineering experience.
Familiar with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) as described in NIST Special Publication 800-37, NIST Special Publication 800-53 and NIST Special Publication 800-171.
Must possess Security Certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II (Security+ or equivalent) Compliant Certification.
