Responsibilities PeopleTec is currently seeking a Cyber Security Analyst / ISSO to support our Huntsville, AL location. PeopleTec is currently looking for an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support the work on the Aviation (AVN) Systems Integration Laboratories (SILs) located in Huntsville, Alabama (Redstone Arsenal). As an ISSO, you will provide support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies. Additionally, you will maintain operational security posture for an information system, or program to ensure information systems security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed. Duties: Management of security aspects of the information system and performing day-to-day security operations of the system. Ensure all weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and biannual requirements are accomplished supporting security authorization activities in compliance with the National Institute of Standards and Technology Risk Management Framework (NIST RMF). Developing and maintaining documentation for ATO in accordance with DoD policies. Performing vulnerability and risk assessment analysis to support Authority to Operate (ATO). Providing support to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) for maintaining the appropriate operational IA posture for a system and program. Ensuring proper configuration management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware. Managing changes to the system and assessing the security impact of those changes. Preparing and reviewing documentation to include System Security Plans (SSPs). Work independently with general direction and as a team member. Works with the engineering team to ensure system and application data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions. Providing robust implementation of good security practices and technical insight on remediation of cybersecurity concerns via direct interaction with the software development team. The position requires daily interaction with the AVN SIL leadership and Software Engineering teams to review security design requirements, evaluate proposed technical solutions for remediation of software vulnerabilities, and verify implementation of security updates for sustaining the current and future AVN SIL systems. Qualifications Required Skills/Experience : Security + or DOD 8570 IAT Level II complaint certification Computing Environment (CE) certificate Windows Server and Client OS CentOs, Oracle Linux and RHEL command line environment Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) compliance Juniper Switches (desired/not required) Router / Switch network configurations and updates Network configuration and management DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and the accreditation process for DoD systems Travel: 10 % Must be a U.S. Citizen An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment. Education Requirements : Mid-Level: The Mid-Level candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience and possess an Associate's degree or higher (4 years of relevant military experience may be used in lieu of an Associate's degree) Senior Level: The Senior-Level candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience and possess a Bachelor's degree or higher (8 years of relevant military experience may be used in lieu of a Bachelor's degree) Desired Skills : EMASS (Enterprise Mission Assurance Security System) ACAS (Assured Compliance Assessment Scanner) HBSS (Host Based Security Solution) IAVMs ( Information Assurance Vulnerability Management) CVE's (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures; per MITRE/SANS CWE's (Common Weakness Enumeration), per MITRE/SANS US-CERT Secure Coding Standards Overview People First.
