Schedule: Full Time Days
Shift : 4 10-hour shifts (7am-5pm)
The community you ll be caring for: AdventHealth Celebration Established in 1997 and now a 203-bed hospital
AdventHealth Celebration Health was designed as a Mediterranean resort-style facility to serve as a cornerstone of health in Disney s planned community of Celebration, Florida
The hospital consistently delivers a state-of-the-art healing environment to residents of Osceola, Orange, Polk and Lake Counties, as well as to visitors from across the United States and the world. All within a 'living laboratory' of groundbreaking, research-driven clinical solutions that integrate mind, body and spirit in the defeat of illness and disease
The role you ll contribute: Assists surgeons in preparation for and during surgical procedures
The value you ll bring to the team: Utilizes physician preference cards to set up operating suites. May update and route cards appropriately, when instructed
Determines appropriate surgical equipment and supplies, based on physician's preference
Achieves temporary and permanent hemostasis by applying appropriate techniques
Assists with body plane closures, wound dressing applications, and securing drainage systems
Positions patients appropriately, uses stabilizing equipment when necessary, and prioritizes patient comfort and safety
The expertise and experiences you ll need to succeed : Minimum qualifications :
American Board of Surgical Assistants
Basic Life Support - CPR Cert
Certified Surgical Technical First Assistant
Preferred qualifications: Two years of technical experience
