Customer Care Intern Summary:

Answer all customer care telephone calls and inquiries. Process and administer all customer care and quality assurance related paper work and information. Maintain customer care records and support department activities.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute customer care lot files, walk-thru books, and related materials to project Customer Care Representatives (CCR's).
  • Receive and process homeowner service requests in a timely manner per established policies, including settlement & releases and check requests.
  • If required, maintain customer care work authorization's and back charges.
  • Get supervisor approval on all C/C work authorizations and invoices.
  • Obtain and distribute trade partner list for each community for use by customer care representative.
  • Collect up-to-date project C/C status information, input to computer and distribute weekly project report.
  • Develop and/or maintain a filing system for projects and individual lots that permits quick access to all previous correspondence, and related data.
  • Maintain inventory of customer care forms, walk-thru books.
  • Order office supplies for the C/C Department and customer care representatives.
  • Assist customer care representatives with scheduling of trade partners and homeowner appointments, as required.
  • Support customer care and/or construction staff as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office
  • Good organizational skills
  • Minimum 50 WPM. Must be accurate for data entry
  • Valid driver's license
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must possess professional attitude to represent company in a positive manner
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality relative to daily work schedule is required
  • Understand and follow work rules and procedures
  • Accept constructive feedback
  • Team player

Physical Requirements:


This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office supplies and materials weighing twenty-five (25) pounds or less. Finger dexterity required to operate a computer keyboard, calculator and telephone equipment. May operate a motor, vehicle.

The median base compensation for this position is estimated to be $20.00/hour, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors including employee qualifications, geographic location, and operational considerations. Note: The median amount may be greater or less than the average salary.
