Every day you'll create cross-section images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. You will also need to enjoy working directly with people as you play a huge role in the patient experience. To be successful in this role, you'll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis. Perform diagnostic procedures such as computed axial tomography, magnetic resonance, interventional radiology, mammography, sonography, ultrasound, and/or nuclear medicine and PET Thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the imaging order Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself. Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures. Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology or within 60 days of graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. Registered/registry eligible Must be registered in CT within 1 year of hiring through ARRT or NMTCB AHA BLS
