Position Summary Orlando Health is a 3,200-bed system that includes 15 wholly-owned hospitals and emergency departments; rehabilitation services, cancer institutes, heart institutes, imaging and laboratory services, wound care centers, physician offices for adults and pediatrics, skilled nursing facilities, an in-patient behavioral health facility, home healthcare services in partnership with LHC Group, and urgent care centers in partnership with CareSpot Urgent Care. Nearly 4,200 physicians, representing more than 80 medical specialties and subspecialties have privileges across the Orlando Health system, which employs nearly 22,000 team members. Areas of clinical excellence are orthopedics, heart and vascular, cancer care, neurosciences, surgery, pediatric specialties, neonatology, women's health and trauma. Directs daily workflow and assists the Imaging Services Supervisor, Imaging Services Manager, and/or Imaging Services Director. Shift - Weekends Mid shift Responsibilities Essential Functions Adheres and supports policies, procedures, mission statements, and strategic imperatives. Directs and assists with daily workflow of the imaging team with regards to supply ordering, staff assignments, and resolution of customer service issues. Plans and prioritizes procedure scheduling and processing that support the needs of the patients and physicians. Assures images meet the established Quality Control standards. Provides input to supervisor for evaluations. Actively participates in departmental projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned. Utilizes Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately. Works with equipment project manager or manager in scheduling equipment downtime for scanners and reports any equipment problems promptly. Responsible for performing diagnostic imaging and related procedures as outlined in the CT technologist job description. Administers medical aid as required in cases of adverse reactions to contrast medication and/or other emergencies. Demonstrates proficiency in contrast medication injection with and without use of power injectors. Performs venipuncture and evaluatesIV access for the purpose of contrast administration as prescribed by a licensed practitioner. Applies principals of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others. Ensures safety of patients. Maintainsreasonably regular punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards. Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies, department guidelines and education requirements. Qualifications Education/Training Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology. Licensure/Certification Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure by the State of Florida and Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and Maintains BLS/Healthcare Provider certification required.
