Per Diem 123 Medical Center Drive Professional - Clinical Flexible (As Needed) Position Summary The C.T. Technologist is responsible for preparing, setting up, and operating the CT scanner following specific physician orders. Also responsible for the production of detailed computer generated scans of a patient's head/body for diagnostic and interventional information as well as keeping abreast of all new procedure in the CT department. C.T. technologists assists patients onto the scanner, verifies identification prior to scan, verifies patient physician(s), enters patient information into system from requisitions, and ensures files are archived onto local media, networked to PACS, and completed properly in CPSI. They are also responsible for maintaining facilities in proper working order. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Education: Completion of formal AMA approved two (2) year course. License/Certifications: Current registration by A.R.R.T. for RT and CT or CT eligible. Current license by State of Maine. Current BLS certification. Experience: Six (6) months of C.T. experience preferred. Basic IV skills.
