Our NRVCS team is growing and seeking Community Support Professionals. As a CSP, you will have the unique opportunity to assist those in your community with behavioral health diagnoses. The Community Support Professional I, provides mental health skill building support to individuals with behavioral health diagnoses. Works as part of the team to ensure individuals are developing skills needed to help them build a recovery plan and live optimally in the community. $2,500 Sign on Bonus Starting Salary: $37,140-Depending on Experience Qualifications Knowledge and training in best practices for providing community based behavioral health services for individuals with disabilities residing in community settings. Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations of laws governing commitment of persons to institutionalized care, and standards and related ethical and legal guidelines including Medicaid, and other payment sources. Basic knowledge of human rights, ethical, and legal concerns as they relate to providing case management clinical services. Ability to work independently and part of a team and work effectively with other agencies and develop community resources. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and to prepare and present educational materials. Must possess a valid driver's license (State of Virginia, unless otherwise approved by agency) with an acceptable driving record. Must maintain acceptable record throughout employment. Must have an acceptable criminal history background and child protective services check upon hire and maintained throughout employment. Must have acceptable drug screen results upon hire. Education/Experience Required: Graduation from an accredited college or university with at least a Bachelor's degree in special education, social work, psychology, or approved human services related field is required. Current registration with the Virginia Board of Counseling as a QMHP-T required with a completion of QMHP-A required within one year of employment.
