We are seeking a Registered Nurse PACU for ourfacility to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality,efficient care. Job Summary: - Receives post-surgical report from CRNA and circulator, including, but not limited to; airway patency, patient vital signs during procedure, type of anesthesia used, dressings, drains, and fluid intake/output.
- Maintenance of post-operative drains including, JP, Hemovac, Pleurovac, and foley catheters.
- Maintenance of patient airway, including oral airways, nasal airways, and ETT.
- Assess and treat pain based on parameters given by physician ordering pain medication, be alert for signs of overmedication and or anaphylaxis.
- Provides updates to appropriate individuals identified by the patient.
- Oversees quality assurance activities, and communicating any concerns to the physician.
The 128-bed Parkridge East Hospital in EastRidge provides a full range of medical and surgical services, such asorthopedics and robotic surgery. Our 24/7 Emergency Department is recognized bythe Society of Chest Pain Centers as an Accredited Chest Pain Center. The Birth Place at Parkridge East offers acomfortable, private setting in which families welcome new additions. Our22-bassinet level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) offers comprehensivecare for babies born at less than 28 weeks gestation or with criticalillnesses.

Qualifications
- Graduateof an Accredited RN Program.
- Licensein the State of TN or Compact Licensure in state of residence
- BLS,ACLS, PALS or obtain within six months of start date.
- Oneyear PACU, Cath lab, ER or ICU experience preferred.
- Oneyear nursing experience in a hospital setting required.
