Job Description: Job Title: Crisis Specialist I Location: Springfield, MO Department: Crisis Services Employment Type: Full-time Shift: Monday - Friday Job Summary: Are you a passionate and dedicated Crisis Specialist looking to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals experiencing behavioral health crises? As a Crisis Specialist I, you'll provide phone intervention as clinically appropriate, consult with area law enforcement and/or hospital emergency rooms, and advise regarding alternatives for disposition of non-Burrell clients and Burrell clients. Our ideal candidate has a Bachelor's Degree in the Human services field (Master's degree preferred), with a preference for LMSW, LCSW, PLPC, or LPC. You should also have the ability to work independently, establish effective relationships via telephone and face-to-face contacts, and demonstrate adaptability and initiative. Consult with area law enforcement and/or hospital emergency rooms and advise regarding alternatives for disposition of non-Burrell clients and Burrell clients. Participate in and contribute to the various staff development activities of Burrell. Provide crisis intervention services and participate in emergency services in order to provide rapid aid in cases of emotional crisis. Attend scheduled conference calls, webinars, face-to-face meetings/trainings, and individual and group supervision. Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Crisis Services or designee.
