If so, this exciting opportunity as a Permanent Criminal Defense Paralegal could be the perfect fit for you. We are a highly reputable law firm specializing in criminal defense, and we are seeking a dedicated, experienced Paralegal to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our attorneys in the preparation and management of a variety of criminal defense cases. This position will be critical in ensuring our clients receive the best possible defense and representation.

Responsibilities:

As a Criminal Defense Paralegal, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Assisting in the preparation of legal documents such as motions, briefs, exhibits, and appeals.
2. Conducting legal research and gathering relevant information for case preparation.
3. Coordinating with clients to gather and organize necessary documentation and information.
4. Managing and organizing case files, tracking case status and updating client records.
5. Assisting attorneys in court proceedings, including trial preparation and strategy development.
6. Coordinating and communicating with court personnel, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the case.
7. Managing client communication, providing updates on case status, and addressing any concerns or queries.
8. Assisting with asylum cases, including document preparation and case management.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Paralegal, preferably in criminal defense.
2. A degree or certificate in paralegal studies from an accredited institution.
3. Experience with asylum cases and case status management is highly desirable.
4. Exceptional research skills and proficiency in legal research tools.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
8. A strong sense of professional ethics and a commitment to confidentiality.
9. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
