Position Overview: We are currently seeking a motivated Hot Metal Crane Operator to join our Pour and Shake Department. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in our operations and contribute to the production of high-quality castings. As a Hot Metal Crane Operator, you will be responsible for: Operating both cab-driven and remote-operated cranes with precision and safety. Using the crane to move ladles filled with molten metal and pouring into molds. Pulling castings out of molds and loading them into the blast machine. Operating the shaker and sand reclamation equipment to reclaim sand from molds. Shoveling and sweeping sand and debris in the area to maintain cleanliness and efficiency. Operating the front loader and other mobile equipment as needed for production support. Assisting with cross-functional duties as required, including aiding similar roles or area upkeep. Qualifications: High School Diploma preferred. Previous manufacturing, industrial or foundry experience preferred. Prior experience in crane operation is advantageous. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, demonstrating adaptability and teamwork. Physical Requirements: Ability to use arms, hands, legs, and feet in repetitive motions. Capability to change between sitting, standing, and kneeling positions. Willingness to twist, stoop, bend, and stand in the performance of job duties. Capacity to climb ladders and work at heights periodically. Ability to lift and carry 60 pounds occasionally. Comfort working on concrete floors and uneven surfaces for the duration of the work shift. Good vision and depth perception. Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment.
