Maksteel Processing powered by UPG is looking to fill a Crane Operator position in the Dearborn, MI location. This role is responsible for operating an overhead crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads - depressing buttons, lifting levers, and ensuring load is safely attached to crane before bringing it down. We are looking for a detail-oriented candidate that is eager to learn and grow in this fast-paced environment. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Loading coil stock to machines for processing Loading and unloading of truck traffic on a timely basis Safe handling and storage of steel stock Maintain clean area of scrap tails from slitters Retrieving stock to be processed Position Requirements High School diploma or GED equivalent 1 year of experience with overhead crane operations in a manufacturing or fabrication environment Ability to read and use a tape measure Good depth perception Knowledge of steel types preferred Diversity & Inclusion Statement UPG Enterprises LLC and its Affiliates is an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce.
