Maksteel powered by UPG is looking to fill a Crane Operator in the Chattanooga, TN location. There are opportunities for wage growth and career advancement. Any relevant steel experience is preferred, but not required. We are looking for a detail-oriented candidate that is eager to learn and grow in this fast-paced environment. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Loading coil stock to machines for processing. Loading and unloading of truck traffic on a timely basis. Safe handling and storage of steel stock. Maintain clean area of scrap tails from slitters. Retrieving stock to be processed Position Requirements Loading coil stock to machines for processing. Qualifications High School diploma or GED equivalent. The ability to read and use a tape measure. Have good depth perception. One year of previous experience with overhead crane operations, preferred. Knowledge of steel types, preferred. One year of previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment, preferred.
