Counselor Assistant/Case Manager Job Description

Under the supervision of the administrative supervisor and lead counselor of the Medically Assisted Opiate Treatment (MAOTP), the Counselor Assistant/Case Manager will primarily be responsible for the case plan of patients who are admitted to the Opiate Treatment program. The Counselor Assistant/Case Manager will work with the lead counselor for chemical dependency counseling, case management, and treatment planning for patients who have been referred to Maryhaven's Opiate Treatment Program.

Counselor Assistant/Case Manager Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. First hand experience with a twelve-step recovery program or comparable experience required
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in human services or behavioral science with some paid volunteer clinical experience or internship in the field of chemical dependency treatment, or equivalent preferred
  • Valid State of Ohio Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) certification required
