COST ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Our client is seeking to hire a Cost Accounting Manager to oversee all of the cost accounting, inventory management and month close for one of their flagship locations in the western suburbs. The Cost Accounting Manager will insure accuracy of all Financial Reporting based upon Bill of Material accuracy and proper Standard Costs, and Labor and Overhead Rates along with the Production and Warehouse, responsible for accurate tracking of the physical inventory.

Job Responsibilities for the Cost Accounting Manager will be:

1. Responsible creating and maintaining all Bills of Material
2. Responsible for analyzing production usage variances
3. Responsible for calculation of and analysis of labor, benefits, utilities and overhead usage versus rate variances
4. Working with the R&D department creates Bills of Material for R&D items
5. Develops annual labor, benefit, utilities and overhead allocation rates during budget season
6. The Cost Accounting Manager will Perform cost studies/analysis
7. Audit of new BOMs for yield/throughput, etc.
8. Performs Yield studies
9. Enters new raw material items, packaging and BOMS into system
10. Work with Warehouse Manager to resolve inventory issues
11. The Cost Accounting Manager will perform periodic review of inventory for errors, research anomalies
12. In charge of the physical inventory and cycle count processes
13. Responsible for production reporting system, resolve issues with production batches, interface with programmers for system enhancements and changes to the custom programming (Jupiter system)
