Position Title: Cost Accountant

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our finance team as a Cost Accountant. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Cost Accountant will be responsible for analyzing costs, preparing reports, and providing insights to support decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cost accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze costs and variances, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Prepare and maintain cost reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Monitor inventory levels and valuation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze product costs and pricing strategies.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline cost accounting processes and enhance efficiency.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting or a related role.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
