Job Details

Job Summary:
The Entry-Level Cost Accountant will assist in the maintenance and analysis of cost accounting records and ensure accurate financial reporting. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone new to the accounting field looking to grow their skills in a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of cost accounting records, including inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS).
• Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify cost discrepancies and provide actionable insights.
• Help prepare cost reports and statements for management review.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely data collection.
• Assist in the development and implementation of cost control procedures.
• Participate in audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks).
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Eagerness to learn and grow within the accounting field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Internship or work experience in an accounting or finance role.
• Basic understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
