Overview of the Cost Accountant role:
- Review and analyze standard costs assigned to the product and purchased components
- Responsible for annual standard cost role based on material, labor, and overhead budgets including recommendations for labor and overhead cost allocation rates
- Support preparation and effectiveness of bill of materials and costing sheets
- Responsible for month end close entries, reserve analysis and inventory reconciliation
- Support fixed asset accounting
Preferred Qualifications for the Cost Accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree
- Three years of cost accounting experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Effectively problem solve, prioritize, and follow through on tasks and projects
