Position Description: Barrick is looking for a Over the Road (OTR) Ore Haul Supervisor to join the Cortez team. The successful candidate will work with various stakeholders throughout the organization to ensure the OTR Refractory Ore Shipping Plans are executed according to plan and in compliance with all Barrick Safety and Health, Contractor Management and Environmental policies and applicable regulatory agency guidelines. Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day operation of the OTR Refractory Ore Haul Be familiar with strategic business planning and propose process improvement to maximize cash flow Liaison with MRM, Mine Operations, Process personnel and other stakeholders Conduct daily interactions with OTR contractors to ensure proper execution Excellent and demonstrated personal commitment to safety & health Participate in contractor safety meetings and incident investigations Inspect and audit all equipment used by our OTR contractors Conduct visible felt leadership interactions with our OTR contractors Continue to develop automation of data collection Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering or related degree or equivalent experience preferred Knowledge of the principles and methods used in metallurgical and processing analysis, have some practical application, and process optimization experience is preferred Experience with computer software (Word, Excel, Power Point, SAP, PowerBI) preferred Experienced in contract management preferred Strong commitment to achieving zero accidents and citations required Good communication skills and problem-solving skills required Ability to travel between mine sites on a routine basis required What We Can Offer You A comprehensive compensation package including a competitive medical, dental, and vision plan with national provider networks, a 401k retirement plan with employer contribution AND employer match, paid time off, company-sponsored medical clinics, company match share purchase program, and much more.
