We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Market/Client Risk Management I to join our TMS team. This is a hybrid work model (3 days a week in office) located out of our Houston,TX OR Pittsburgh, PA office.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Analyzes and reviews documentation relating to moderately complex debt issuances with consideration for BNY Mellon risk and reviews, while analyzing and executing transactions with clients.
  • Facilitates onboarding and setups of new bond issuances.
  • Works with clients and BNY teams to resolve issues and develop new business in line with business objectives.
  • Where applicable, reviews work of more junior colleagues and provides guidance on complex tasks.
  • Works with issuers and their lawyers and advisors when reviewing the terms of the transactions to ensure they are set up according to BNY standards and manage areas of potential risk whilst meeting client objectives.
  • Coordinates tasks with internal and external parties.
  • Mitigates risk to BNY by reviewing moderately complex client contracts or transactions or processing tasks and ensuring that they comply with corporate policies and business procedures and protect as well as compensate BNY Mellon for services provided.
  • Works with clients, the business and legal teams to resolve issues in line with client and business objectives.
  • Prepares and/or reviews required documents and/or market / shareholder notices.
  • Communicates with lawyers, advisors and clients to resolve any structural or contractual issues.
  • Ensures BNY is compliant with applicable regulations and policies and procedures.
  • Works with the team to review, analyze and/or structure transactions in ways that are compliant with applicable regulations and contracts.
  • Responsible for transaction management and closing deals for assigned clients and/or transactions, but will contribute to the achievement of any team or area objectives.


To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination
  • 5-7 years of work experience in Corporate Trust, Finance or related fields
