Blue Mountain Construction Services has an Immediate opening for an Experienced Corporate Controller with Finance Experience in the Surrounding Vacaville Area


JOB SUMMARY

The Controller will oversee the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive financial reporting, forecasting, and policies related to accounting. This role is responsible for supervising the accounting team's activities, including financial reporting, project accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all legal requirements.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Incumbent must have the skills, ability, and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Establish, monitor, and enforce financial policies and procedures to guide financial decisions.
  • Protect assets by establishing and enforcing internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by staying informed on legislation and maintaining financial records.
  • Oversee equipment operations by setting maintenance schedules, maintaining inventories, and evaluating new equipment.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by engaging in continuous learning and professional development.
  • Ensure confidentiality of financial information and operational plans.
  • Develop and analyze financial statements and Pro Forma financial reports to predict future revenues, expenses, and cash flows, providing strategic insights into business operations.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Schedule and assign tasks to employees, oversee work results, and manage the performance of the financial staff through coaching, counseling, and appraising job results.

Fiscal Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits, confirm financial condition, prepare budgets, monitor and analyze financial data, prepare Pro Forma statements, and prepare reports outlining financial status and trends.

KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior financial role within a major company or division of a large corporation.
  • Deep understanding of financial management, including Pro Forma analysis and general finance principles.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, including reliable transportation to various job sites and adherence to local driving and insurance regulations.
  • Ability to maintain: 1) reliable and safe transportation to other BMCS jobsites 2) valid California driver's license, 3) proper vehicle registration, and 4) California's minimum automobile insurance coverage requirement.

This job posting may span more than one career level.


In addition to base salary, this job may be eligible to participate in our corporate discretionary bonus program, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission. We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar industry companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below.


The base pay range for this position is: $170,000 - $200,000.
