Our client, a brand name employer in the area, is seeking a talented and motivated Corporate Accountant to join their growing team.
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our client's financial operations. Here's what you'll do:
- Become a pillar of our Corporate Accounting Team:
- Actively participate in or supervise monthly consolidations, external financial reporting packages, and internal management reports.
- Take point on SEC reporting responsibilities, ensuring compliance with the latest regulations.
- Establish a strong working relationship with external auditors, providing routine interface and assisting with the overall administration of external audits.
- Sharpen your technical accounting skills:
- Conduct technical accounting research and assist in interpreting complex accounting questions.
- Be at the forefront of innovation by participating in initiatives to modernize the technology supporting our financial and accounting processes.
- Support strategic growth:
- Assist with acquisition due diligence, ensuring smooth integration post-acquisition, and implementing proper acquisition accounting.
- Embrace Sustainability:
- Actively participate in our client's Sustainability Initiatives, demonstrating your commitment to a greener future.
- Become an Internal Control Expert:
- Deepen your understanding of our client's internal control environment, becoming a subject matter expert.
- Go the Extra Mile:
- Participate in numerous special projects and ad-hoc requests, showcasing your adaptability and problem-solving skills.
Bonus points if you can:
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial forecasts tasks.
Requirements for the Corporate Accountant include:
- Active CPA
- Over 5 years of public accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with Consolidations
- Proven experience with SEC filings
