Additional Information: Show/Hide Status: Full-Time / Exempt Shift: Days Position Purpose Coordinate the education and training of allied health students to gain skills, knowledge and behaviors required to successfully complete the curriculum and support their successful entry in to the workplace; assure accreditation requirements are met for the programs. Position Requirements: This position requires a minimum of five (5) years' experience as an educator with demonstrated leadership responsibilities which include; Lead role/participant in committees/teams and/or special projects/assignments Mentoring other teachers Lead role/participant in Career Tech Student Organizations (CTSO) Valid State Issued Driver's License Bilingual is a plus Education: Masters Degree in educational field Degree or Certification in Health field preferred Oklahoma Teaching and Secondary Administrator/Principal Certification. Must have or be able to obtain (within the first year in the position) Oklahoma Department of Career & Technology Education Administrator certificate. Salary Schedule: SPMS Hiring Range: Dependent on experience, plus additional $7,200 annual compensation for salary-in-lieu of dependent benefit coverage. Benefits: Employee Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Sick Leave, Vacation, Personal Leave, Pension Plan, 457 Savings Plan, and 25 paid holidays Essential Functions Customarily and regularly manage direct reports to maximize productivity, efficiency, and the potential of the human assets of Tulsa Tech, including: directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, training, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, policies and work rules. Appraise performance and provide recommendations for promotion and termination actions, and hiring as appropriate. Supervise and provide instructional leadership for assigned programs, including assisting in the research, evaluation, and refinement of program changes in cooperation with program instructors and Tulsa Tech Instructional Development department: observing and evaluating instructors to support highest level of instructional competency. Work with the instructor to develop, write and modify curriculum in accordance with the industry guidelines and work with the instructional staff to assure all accreditation standards are met. Evaluate students on a recurrent basis to provide timely indications of students progress toward competencies and knowledge required for successful completion of program and the effectiveness of the educational program and curriculum. Provide academic, personal and behavioral counseling and counseling referrals to students to support their successful completion of program requirements. Work with the Marketing department, instructors, and campus director to develop materials to enhance internal and external customer awareness of the programs and encourage continued maximum enrollment levels. Maintain up-to-date records of student attendance, academic progress and grades as required by District policy and certification agencies. Develop and maintain community/business contacts and participate with industry advisory committees. Perform tasks and duties relevant to any of various roles or responsibilities assigned by supervision and determined by management to be appropriate for this position; comply with all policy, procedure, regulation and other communicated requirements as may be in effect for the workgroup or worksite.
