As a key member of our Nutrition Communications team, the Coordinator, Nutrition Communications will be responsible for assisting with health and consumer media campaigns. Working alongside Registered Dietitians, you'll build and maintain relationships with press, including top tier consumer health reporters, health professionals, consumers, and lifestyle and food influencers. We work a hybrid schedule with an in-office requirement Monday-Wednesday and the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday. Our office is located at 11444 W. Olympic Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90064. Occasional travel and weekend event coverage needed. Job Description Monitor traditional and social media on a daily basis, becoming fluent in using monitoring software, responsible for keeping a pulse point on what's trending in the health and wellness space. Develop biweekly, monthly, and biannual coverage reports. Organize and maintain assets, including archives of photos, recipes, handouts, branded premiums, and media clip files. Maintain media lists with current information for nutrition-related health outlets, lifestyle media, nutrition trades, and RD-driven social media. Support execution of campaigns and events from start to finish by managing timelines, coordinating materials, driving relevant vendor conversations, creating briefing books, and staffing events. Provide key administrative support by managing invoices, ordering and shipping products, and coordinating team travel. Qualifications Demonstrated interest in nutrition, healthy eating, or health and wellness required. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel). Proven ability to manage competing deadlines and projects to ensure on-time completion. Excellent attention to detail. Comfortable developing relationships with internal and external partners. Bachelor's Degree in a related field is a plus (e.g. Nutrition, Food Science, Public Health, Journalism, Communications). Prior experience designing branded collateral in Canva a plus. Familiarity with AP style and standard PR tools (e.g., Cision, Critical Mention, Tribe Dynamics) a plus. Pay Rate: $30.00 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
