Position Summary Under the direction of the Dean of Online Education and Global Engagement and the SEVP Primary Designated School Official (PSDO), the Coordinator will support the development of global engagement programs at Oregon Tech. The Coordinator will participate on the International Committee and across campus to strengthen internationalization efforts and embrace diversity amongst faculty, staff and students. In this role, the Coordinator will support and research opportunities to expand international programs including F1 student programs, study abroad, student and faculty exchange, global education partnerships, etc. As the International Student Advisor, the Coordinator is responsible for the daily oversight of F1 student needs, support, and advising. This position will serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) and work in the USCIS SEVIS system. The role is designed to provide holistic support of international student success. The Coordinator will provide resources, support, and assistance for international students as they navigate government regulations, international student requirements and university policies and procedures. The Coordinator will work to improve the international student experience from recruitment through post-completion employment opportunities. Minimum Requirements Additional Requirements Bachelor's degree One (1) year of experience working in international education (preference will apply to those with study abroad experience). Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. A Master's degree in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Experience researching and interpreting federal regulations. Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills. Excellent interpersonal communication and oral presentation skills. Strong customer service orientation. Preferred Qualifications Two (2) or more years of experience in international education or study abroad. Passion for working with international or exchange students in higher education. Excellent professional writing skills.
