We are currently seeking an experienced Permanent Conventional Machinist to join our dynamic engineering team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing cutting-edge machinery and technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and maintaining various types of machining equipment, with a particular emphasis on 5 Axis, CNC Conventional, and G Code.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Conventional Machinist, you will be responsible for:

1. Operating and maintaining a variety of machining equipment, including 5 Axis, CNC Conventional, and G Code.
2. Accurately reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to produce parts to specification.
3. Utilizing precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to ensure the accuracy of the finished product.
4. Setting up and operating lathe and mill machines to produce or repair parts.
5. Collaborating with the engineering team to troubleshoot problems and develop solutions.
6. Conducting regular inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal operation.
7. Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with company policies and safety standards.
8. Continually seeking ways to improve processes and techniques for efficiency and quality.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate for the Permanent Conventional Machinist position will have:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a machinist in the engineering industry.
2. Proficiency in operating and maintaining 5 Axis, CNC Conventional, and G Code machines.
3. Hands-on experience with lathe and mill machines.
4. Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
5. The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
7. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
8. A commitment to adhering to all company policies and safety standards.
9. A certificate or degree in a relevant field would be an added advantage.
