We are seeking a talented and experienced Permanent Controls Technician to join our dynamic Manufacturing team in the Engineering industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing processes by maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing our control systems. This role will utilize your technical skills in VFDs, PLCs, RSLogix, Servo Drive, and motor controls.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain control systems for manufacturing processes, ensuring maximum efficiency and safety.
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues with control systems, including VFDs, PLCs, RSLogix, Servo Drive, and motor controls.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team on the design and implementation of new control systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections of control systems and perform necessary upgrades or repairs.
  • Document all work performed, including troubleshooting steps, repairs made, and parts used.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, and contribute to the development of new safety standards when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Controls Technician in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven expertise in VFDs, PLCs, RSLogix, Servo Drive, and motor controls.
  • Strong knowledge of control system design and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.
  • Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and software for control systems.
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field is preferred.
