Controller
CFS is working with aa thriving non-profit organization seeking a Controller to join their team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of their financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to the board of directors.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Develop and maintain the annual budget and financial forecast, monitoring variances and recommending adjustments as needed.
- Oversee the internal controls framework and ensure compliance with relevant regulations for 501(c)(6) associations.
- Manage the annual audit process, liaising with auditors and ensuring timely completion.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support informed decision-making the Board of Directors.
- Manage and mentor a direct report, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting standards and tax regulations for non-profit organizations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- Nonprofit or association accounting experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent designation is a plus.
- Proficient in QuickBooks.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Salary: $90,000 - $110,000
