Our client, a well-known real estate firm, is seeking a Controller to join its growing team.

Responsibilities:

1. Overseeing all financial and accounting operations, including the review and approval of all financial reporting materials and metrics for our management team.

2. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.

3. Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

4. Developing and managing financial controls in accordance with the company's procedures.

5. Communicating effectively with all levels of the organization to ensure financial objectives are met.

6. Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

7. Managing and coordinating the company's financial planning and budget management functions.

8. Working closely with the management team to formulate the business's medium to long-term financial and strategic plan.

9. Using Yardi software to manage and oversee all financial data and compliance within the company.

Job Details

Qualifications:

1. 3+ years of overall combined accounting and finance real estate experience.

2. Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance.

3. CPA or MBA preferred.

4. Proven working experience as a Controller in the real estate industry.

5. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.

6. Experience with creating financial statements, general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.

7. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills, especially Yardi.

8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
